Leg Toning Exercises
Can be Fun

Leg toning exercises don’t have to be hard work they can be
fun. Many people try to do too much and end up quitting. Then, whatever time
they did spend exercising legs is wasted. The best plan of attack is to do it
and enjoy it. This is possible and doable with the use of a little creativity.
There are many activities that you can do that are just as
effective as targeted leg toning exercises. In the gym legs are targeted by
using weight machines and the same thing is done in aerobic exercise classes.
However, you can tone your legs by doing activities that you already do with
minor modifications.
One of such activities is walking. Walking is a great leg
toning exercise, especially if you add a pair of heavy hands or a weighted vest
into the mix. By adding the extra few pounds it makes the body and leg muscles
work a little harder. Heavy hands also work to tone arms and shoulders if you
add arm and shoulder exercise while walking.
Another great way to tone legs is gardening. To add extra
weight here the weighted vest would be the tool of choice. This way your hands
are free to work and the extra weight is working on those legs every minute
you’re out there. In addition, while gardening do extra squatting to work the upper
thighs and butt more.
The playground is a great place to get the benefit of leg
toning exercises. Whether you have kids or not playground equipment is fun.
Climbing up slides and standing on swings to make them go higher is great
exercise for the legs. If you have kids then you can really get a great workout
doing this. Take it easy the first time out or your legs will be sore.
Dancing is yet another great way to have fun and tone legs
at the same time. You can do this in spare time at home, especially when nobody
is home. Or if you’re a party girl go night clubbing and dance for hours in those
5 inch heels. Every dancer I have ever seen from ballet to stripper has toned
legs.
Let’s not forget one on one or team sports. You can’t help
but do leg toning exercises when you play a sport no matter which one it is.
Some good examples would be tennis, golf, volleyball, soccer, bowling,
racquetball, basketball, flag football, skating, roller blades and any other
sport that you enjoy.
For best results don’t do the same leg toning exercises
every day, but change it up and work the leg muscles a different way. This also
adds variety and alleviates boredom. When you’re creative it can be fun to
exercise it doesn’t have to be hard or monotonous.
Very good points for toning legs.
