The Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is a video game made for the Nintendo Wii (although it can also be found on other popular video game consoles, such as the Playstation consoles, Nintendo consoles, and even for PC). It is an exciting and fun game made for children 10 years of age and older. The game combines two time-tested and classic franchises, the Lego building blocks and the Indiana Jones movies. Kids and adults alike will find this to be a fun and challenging video game. It is rated 'E' for everyone over 10. This means it is not quite recommended for young children, but if parents are comfortable with a little cartoon violence and monitor their play, it could be permissible. But young children may find it too complex to solve all the adventures in the game.

Lego Indiana Jones 2 The Adventure Continues

Fans of the Indiana Jones movies will instantly recognize their favorite scenes and delight in seeing Indy as a Lego character. All movies from the franchise are represented in this game; Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and it even includes the newest movie, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Even more fun is hearing the classic theme song being played during the game. The game stays true to the movies' storylines and has that tongue-in-cheek aspect to it that attracted many fans to the movies in the first place.

The Indiana Jones Lego game is split into six hub worlds, and each of those worlds include five story stages. The object of completing each hub is met by fighting bad guys, playing bonus missions, and unlocking secrets in each stage. Each stage represents a scene from one of the movies, and Indy uses his trademark whip to help him destroy objects, which then turn into Lego parts (called 'studs') that can be collected and used to purchase (or 'unlock') vehicles, characters, etc. He uses other weapons as well depending on the scene, including his fists. It is a lot of fun to try and discover all the hidden treasures and secrets. A buddy character also joins in on the adventures by helping Indy out on his journey. Each sidekick has unique abilities and assist in uncovering secrets. There is also a feature that allows the player to create his or her own custom game by building one on their own, and it can either be played alone or intertwined with the levels in the game to create a truly unique experience.

Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues has some similarities to the first Indiana Jones video game, as well as some differences. The similarities include playing through the same scenes, but the scenes in part 2 are set up slightly differently. For example, in the first video game when Indy is in the Map Room trying to discover the location of the Ark, there are many more snakes to destroy than in the second game (and every true die-hard fan knows that Dr. Jones is terrified of snakes!). Also, the second game includes the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull movie scenes, while the first one does not. And finally, the second game includes the Creator mode that allows the player to create his or her own scenes, while the first game does not have this feature.

Lego Indiana Jones 2 is cute, colorful, and definitely recognizable for both the Indiana Jones characters and all the shapes that made Legos famous. Their take on the Indiana Jones movies is fun, and children will be delighted to find it under the Christmas tree or in their stocking this year!
