Leslie Sansone 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk DVD

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Pros

Workouts are divided by mile. You can do 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 miles.

You can choose which mile you want to start at, which varies the workout each time you do it.

Leslie uses real women (and one man) who have real bodies and are diverse in shape and age. No twigs, here.

Cons

Leslie is a chatterbox. There is no "music only" option on this DVD.

Full Review

Leslie Sansone and her "Walk at Home" exercise program have been around for over twenty years. Her workouts are an excellent way of staying in shape no matter what age or physical shape you are in.

Throughout the years, Leslie Sansone has changed her workouts with the times. This workout is different than her longer "challege" workouts of the past. It has a running time of 73 minutes, and each mile is slightly more than twelve minutes long. That means no matter how busy you are, you can fit a workout in with no excuses!

The first and last mile she is instructing alone; miles 2, 3 and 4 have various groups of friends walking with her. The mile starts of quickly with a review of her "four basic steps"- walking, kicking, side stepping, and knee-up. After a few minutes, the music gets faster and so do your movements. The steps and hand motions are quick and in the last two minutes, you are "boosted", i.e., you are walking or jogging to a much faster beat.

Leslie is always encouraging you to "do what you can" and not to worry if you are not on the same foot as her. It's all about moving, not fancy dance steps.

In Closing

I am a huge fan of Leslie Sansone and own many of her VHS and DVDs. This one is for more advanced walkers, only because of the faster pace of each mile. If you are ready to step up your walking workouts, this is a must-have for your exercise DVD collection.
