This is a review of the Logitech Wireless Mouse M310, the greatest mouse I have ever owned. I never thought I could be so excited and happy about having a new computer mouse, but that changed after I used my new M310 for a few days.
This baby is truly plug and play. I put the included battery in the mouse and put the tiny USB receiver into my computer and the mouse began working instantly. There is no software to be installed. The mouse it very travel friendly as well. Opening up the battery compartment reveals a small space to store the USB receiver when bringing the M310 on the go.
Logitech guarantees that the battery will last at least one year which may be hard to believe at first. Built into this device is a sleep mode that will shut down the mouse after it is not in use for awhile. If that was not enough, it also has an ON/OFF switch for when you know it will not be in use for an extended period of time. To avoid any type of mishaps, there is a power indicator light to alert you that it is time to change the battery.
The Logitech Wireless Mouse M310 is for right or left-handed users and is very comfortable. Each side has an inviting rubber that your hand will instantly fall in love with. The top of the mouse is a beautiful, matte finished plastic that stays smooth in your hand. The mouse is a very good size and keeps your wrist and hand in an ergonomically-friendly position.
The bare bones of the mouse is perfect. It is responsive to all movements and the scrolling wheel is clickable. It is solid, but still slides very nicely on any mouse pad. It will work on any surface though with its invisible optic sensor. The physical clicking is a quick and quiet touch.
Logitech makes this particular device in a wide variety of colors to choose from. You can match just about any part of your computer or workstation. There are even some pretty cool artsy designs.
Not that it has anything to do with the quality of the mouse, but I feel like it deserves to be mentioned: The packaging on this product was stellar. Everyone has struggled with one of those packages before where you have to cut, rip, and gouge with a scissors nearly destroying everything in sight. Well the mouse is trapped by one of those dreaded plastic containers of doom. However, there is a small tab on the back with etched lines in a huge square that says "tear here". Just gently pull, and your mouse is free. I was astonished because it was the first time that I had ever bought something like this that had an easy open option and it really put the icing on the already great cake that is the Logitech Wireless Mouse M310.
