In this day and age it's not uncommon to find yourself low on cash and searching desperately to find some cheap skateboard stuff on sale, whether it be online or in the skate shop; and there's no shame in that, everyone loves some good quality cheap skateboard stuff. I know when I see a discounted product online, I can't seem to control myself from buying it while the deal is still so good, and cheap skateboard stuff is some of the most appealing things for me. There's just so much to choose from.

But how do you know if you're getting a good deal on some of the cheap skateboard stuff you're looking at? How do you know what kind of items are worth getting? Is the price marked so low because it is junk? Or is it a great deal that I need to take advantage of while it lasts? These are all very common things to think about when you get that urge to splurge on some cheap skateboard stuff, and it's good to think this way. You don't want to spend a bunch of money on things just because they are low priced, and then not like what you get. That would defeat the purpose of buying cheap skateboard stuff to begin with, because you would just be wasting money. I will explain in this article which cheap skateboard stuff to look out for, which ones to avoid, and where to buy them, and hopefully keep you from throwing away money on junk items.

What kind of cheap skateboard stuff is worth buying?

Figuring out what's worth buying depends on a couple of things. Firstly, what kind of cheap skateboard stuff are you looking for? Footwear? Apparel? Accessories? Decks? Wheels? You get the idea. And secondly, what do you classify as being "cheap" skateboard stuff? 20% off the normal sticker prices? 40% off? 75% off? Again, you get the idea. The truth is even though you can get some really sweet things for super low prices, they aren't always quality. Some cheap skateboard stuff is better to buy than others.

If you're looking for discount skate shoes, there's plenty of quality ones to choose from, and same goes for really cheap skateboards and discount skater clothes. Most of the time you're going to get a great deal on quality if you know how to look for the right things. This is mainly because these items usually go on sale for such low prices because they are old models and retailers need to make room for new models. It's usually not because these items are junk, they are quality things, they're just not the new models anymore and not as high in demand and thus lower in price.

You usually get what you pay for when you buy cheap skateboard stuff like accessories, wheels, and trucks. Sometimes you can snag a good deal on a few here and there, but you're better off paying regular price and making sure you get quality products. You don't really want to be skating on discount grip tape that loses its grip within a month so you have to buy more. You don't want to get discount skate trucks that are made from less than ideal material and have them break on you as soon as you try to grind a rough concrete curb, and you don't want some discount wheels or bearings that just make you work harder to get up to you're desired speed to perform your trick. These are all things I would recommend you pay extra money for to get the average priced ones.

How to spot a good deal on cheap skateboard stuff

As I explained above, if you're looking for cheap skateboard stuff worth buying, you're going to have to look for discount skate decks, discount skate shoes, and discount skate apparel on sale. These are almost always going to be great deals that you should take advantage of because there's normally nothing wrong with this cheap skateboard stuff, it's just that they are older models that need to be sold.

Cheap Skateboard Stuff (Blank Decks)Discount Skate Decks

For quality low-priced decks, you're going to want to look for blank decks and old models that are on sale. Blank decks are the way to go because they are just as good as the name brand ones with all the cool looking graphics, it just that you don't have to pay for that name or those graphics when you get a blank. The artwork and brand name doesn't make the board perform better, and blank decks from reputable companies like CCS are made with the same wood, same ply, and same dimensions as all of the cool looking ones that are priced $50-$60 on average. You can get blanks for around $25-$35 and you can find a lot of older model name brand decks for around $40 or less sometimes on many online stores as well as your local skate shops.
