What Is The Eat Clean Diet And Can You Really Lose 15 lbs in 7 Days?

Best selling author of the "Eat Clean" diet books and fitness guru Tosca Reno says you can lose weight quickly by eating clean.  What does "eating clean" mean?  Well, in a nutshell, it really is not that much different than other diets that tell you to avoid sugar, increase protein intake and increase your intake of fruit and veggies.  Another key component to the "eat clean" diet is to eat often-eating up to six times daily (3 main meals and 3 snacks).  The main idea behind the "eat clean" diet is really to clean your body of excess sugar by eating more fruit (a source of natural sugar) and protein like chicken and eggs. The diet also stresses the importance of cleaning up other toxic habits like smoking and so forth.

One very important difference between Reno's diet and other diet is that she tells you not to eat sugar substitutes or what the call "zero-calorie" sweeteners because they can actually contribute to weight gain.  A University of Texas Health Science Survey done in 2005 showed people who drank  diet soft drinks actually had a 41 percent increase in weight gain. This study was reported in the February 2008 issue of  "Time" magazine.

Tosca Reno's new book "Eat-Clean Diet Stripped: Peel Off Those Last 10 Pounds" shows you all you need to know about how to eat clean and lose the weight. The books explains techniques and tricks of the top fitness models and what they do to keep their bodies slim and trim.

There are other diets like the 17 Day Diet Plan or the Three Apple A Day Diet that will help you lose the weight and help teach you most of the same principles talked about in Ms. Reno's book.  It really just comes down to who you trust and whether their plan is something that you can stick to for the long haul. Dieting and weight loss can be a very strenuous and emotional experience so having a connection to your "trainer" helps you on that journey to a newer healthier you.
