Healthy Living 2

Many people struggle with weight loss, but you do not have to!  My genes make it difficult for me to stay in shape, so I have to do everything correctly when it comes to eating healthy and exercising.  I have lost twenty pounds in about two months from following a fairly strict routine.

It is essential to keep your metabolism going, so have a snack or small meal every two hours.  I wake up in the morning and take a dietary supplement that keeps me feeling full of energy and decreases my hunger.  Two hours after taking the supplement, I eat lunch.  About two hours after eating my lunch, I will have yogurt or a fruit for a snack.  Another two hours goes by and I eat dinner.

My exercise routine takes about an hour, and should be performed at least four days a week.  I start with thirty minutes of cardio (I use an elliptical), then I do weight training.  During weight training I work my biceps, triceps, as well as doing lunges, squats, and ab workouts.  I do three sets of 12-15 reps for each exercise, except for the abs.  I do a variation of ab routines such as toe touches, oblique crunches, side crunches, and leg lifts.  For the ab workouts I do 2 sets of 50 reps for each.

Make sure you eliminate sodas, tea, coffee, chocolate and any other sources of caffeine from your diet.  Stay away from french fries and fried foods.  Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and to keep your system healthy!

I will admit that I sometimes would slack or have a cheat meal, but I was still able to reach my goal weight.  Depending on how much you or wanting to lose, you may need to increase your cardio time and the number of days your work out.

I hope this information helps you to get healthier and to reach your goals!  I have personally done this and it has worked for me.  I have received many compliments for friends, family, and co-workers.  As long as you persevere, you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to!  Good luck on your journey to healthy and happy living!
