One of the most invigorating aspects of exercise for an out of shape person is the rapid results.
When you are fat and out of shape it's hard to break old habits such as not lying around on the couch watching TV and eating Doritos. The more swimming I do and the more that I will lose because swimming is a very healthy cardio exercise.

Building a healthy life starting now will help you to not only extend your expected life span but you also live a much more fulfilling life when you're older. Instead of hobbling about on a cane like a feeble old man you can instead be like my grandmother who is 81 and just finished another half marathon.
