Lower your cholesterol level naturally

By Edited Oct 27, 2013 1 2

A lot of us are having problems with our cholesterol levels. I'm going to show you two of the ways that you can lower your cholesterol levels naturally. Why should you want to lower your cholesterol levels naturally? Well the first reason is that if you have high cholesterol levels you are at risk of dying from heart attack and stroke. The second reason is that if you have high cholesterol levels and you go to your physician for help he is more than likely going to prescribe you with cholesterol lowering drugs. These cholesterol-lowering pharmaceuticals are more than likely going to do you some damage in the long run. In fact there have been many cases where the severity of the side effects of these drugs have have far outstripped the effectiveness that the pharmaceuticals have provided.

There are two types of cholesterol that you can consume. One is the HDL (high-density lipoprotein) and LDL (low density lipoprotein). It's the second one that is bad for you by the way. Before I tell you the two ways that you can lower your cholesterol naturally, I have to tell you that there is no magic solution. Both of these ways are going to take hard work and commitment. They will take willpower and stamina but the results will be life changing and should last for the rest of your life.

The first of these methods that will help you to lower your cholesterol naturally is through exercise. It's as simple as getting up off your backside for at least a half an hour every day and exercising yourself into a sweat. There is a reason why cholesterol responds to exercise. When you start to exercise your body needs fuel. The more you exercise the more fuel that your body needs. And what kind of fuel those your body use? It uses fatty acids and glucose that are hanging around inside your body as its fuel. This is like the rocket fuel of the body. So no matter what kind of exercise you do, and be sure to make it a fun exercise because you will stick to it for much longer, your body will start to burn these two unwanted elements as fuel. Cool or what!

And the second way to lower your cholesterol levels naturally is to eat a proper diet. You need especially to be taking in more soluble fiber. The soluble fiber that you eat soaks up all the bad fat that is in your body and causes your bad cholesterol, soaks it up and expels it. You are not only doing your cholesterol levels a lot of good, you are helping your heart, your blood, your colon, in fact you are helping your entire system by eating more fiber. You should also be eating as many whole foods as you can. Whole foods are something that is provided by Mother Nature to us all. Anything that is provided by Mother Nature in its original state is a whole food, and is good for you. Once a human being has interfered with it, it becomes more degraded and less healthy for you. Choose Mother Nature because she knows best.

Lastly I want to say that before you either choose to go on an exercise regime or change your diet, you should consult your physician. This is for your own protection. Also you should really consider taking on a personal trainer to help you with your exercises.
