Full Review

Godiva is a solid lush shampoo with a bright yellow color that smells very strongly of Jasmine. It smells so strongly that I no longer need any type of air freshener in my bathroom because the scent fills the room just from one solid lush shampoo sitting in my shower.

Solid shampoos sound a little strange at first but they work just as well as cream shampoos. You rub the hockey puck like bar on your head to work up a lather and wash your hair as you would normally. Godiva forms a rich lather that is much creamier than other Lush shampoos I have tried in the past. This is probably due to the cocoa and shea butters found in the bar.

Godiva is a shampoo and conditioner in one easy to use solid bar. I feel absolutely no need to use any type of conditioner after shampooing with this Lush shampoo because my hair feels so silky and soft. I have very fine hair which tends to get frizzy and flyaways are normally a problem for me, but not with Godiva. My hair is straight and smooth after washing with this solid shampoo and it smells wonderful.

Now, about that smell. I enjoy the scent of Jasmine, it's a very flowery and feminine scent. If you don't like the scent of Jasmine then you might want to steer clear of this Lush shampoo. It is very strong. Your hair won't smell as strongly as the bar, of course, but I last used my Godiva shampoo 20 hours ago and I can still faintly smell it on my hair.

The other problem is that this Lush shampoo is softer than some of the other shampoos. I'm sure that it's because of the same ingredients which make the shampoo so creamy and conditioning. Keep this bar in a dry place to keep it from melting and preserve it as long as possible. It should last about a month for most people although that depends on how often you wash your hair and how long your hair is.

In Closing

I will definitely purchase this Lush shampoo again. It leaves my hair feeling wonderful and I save money because I don't have to buy conditioner.
