Finding the Goods

In the ever changing world of Mafia Wars on Facebook, there are now valuables dropped randomly throughout jobs. All Mafia members like to collect loot and this loot isn't your ordinary everyday loot, this is collectible art, fancy cigars and more. Any respectable Godfather or Godmother should have a collection or two stashed away, its like having money in the bank, only prettier. Finding these collectibles is the same as finding any other random loot item. You stumble upon them when doing jobs. Even narrowing down which job has which collectible item is possible; knowing how many times you are going to have to do the job in order to find the collectible is not possible. It could be one or it could be ten. As you find the collectibles they are stored in the Collections area of your Inventory page. When you find all seven of any one collection it is automatically moved to the Vault area. Each completed collection adds points to your energy or defense, making your character even better.

Collections
The current valuables that are being dropped around the City don't appear in game play until you reach the Soldier stage. At that point you are likely to be rewarded with a poker chip or sculpture at any of the available jobs. They will be stored until you find all seven of them and then they move to the Vault. Currently it is unclear if they will be used in the future for some job or if they are just valuables to try and attain. The following collections have been currently identified. Poker Chips, Levels 9-12 (Soldier) White, Brown, Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Gold
Sculptures: Levels 9-12 (Soldier) : Rat, Sheep, Rooster, Monkey, Tiger, Snake, Dragon
Cigars: Levels 13-17 (Enforcer) Ebony, Sky, Rose, Ivory, Turquoise, Gold, Royal
Rings: Levels 18-24 (Hitman) Topaz, Opal, Amethyst, Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, Diamond
Paintings: Levels 25-34 (Capo) Warhol, Cezanne, Matisse, Rembrandt, Dali, Monet, Van Gough

As the pieces show up in the Collections you can drag them into one of seven available holding cells. If you happen to obtain more of a different collection than the one in the cells, just rearrange them. They will automatically be moved to your Vault when the seventh one is found. The Godfather has been mum about future new collections or what you might be able to use them for. But knowing the Godfather and the creative minds at Zynga players should be on the lookout for surprises in the near future.
