Maharajas' Express- India's First Super Luxury Train

Maharajas's Express, the first pan-India Super Luxury Train began its maiden journey on 6th March 2010, as it left Mumbai for New delhi. The train jouney is 8 days/7 nights covering Mumbai, Vadodara, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Ranthambhor, Agra, and Delhi. During the journey you will discover the vibrant, bustling city of Mumbai, imperial Delhi, marvel at the immortal beauty of the Taj Mahal, come face to face with a tiger in Ranthambore, visit the Amber Fort in Jaipur and explore the shimmering Lake City of Udaipur.

The Super Luxury Train has 23 air-conditioned (AC) coaches with a total capacity of 84 passengers. This is the first Luxury Train that boasts of four different configurations. It has 5 deluxe cars each with 4 cabins, 6 super deluxe cars with 3 cabins each, 2 suite cars with 2 cabins each, and one presidential suite that occupies the entire car. Every cabin has large panoramic windows - a design marvel developed by the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai.The train is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities like individual temeprature control system, environment friendly toilets, live TV(LCD), internet, inhouse movies, direct dialing, and electronic safe deposit box in every cabin. The train has the following facilities also.

Maharajas' Dining: The Maharajas' Express has two fine dining restaurants that seat 42 persons at a time; and everyone on board dines together. Wines and beer served whilst dining come complimentary.

Maharajas' Bar and Lounges: One exotic bar with the choicest collection of house brands of wines, beer and spirits with snacks come complimentary to every passenger. There's also one Observation lounge with its own bar, game tables and comfortable club arm-chairs.The Maharajas' Express also houses a high-end boutique featuring exquisite and unique creations.

Maharajas' Transport: Super deluxe coaches for Deluxe Cabin and Junior Suite passengers and cars for the Suite and Presidential Suite passengers each at every destination all equipped with complimentary sightseeing kits like bottle coolers, pith hats and shoe uppers

The minimum tarriff is kept at US$ 800 per day per person(Deluxe) with the maximum tarriff for the Presidential suite at US$ 2500 per day per person.

These prestegious trains are operated by Royale Indian Rail Tours Limited, a joint venture of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and Cox and Kings India Ltd.

There are 4 different Signature Journeys. One pair of journeys between Mumbai and Delhi and the other pair of journeys between Kolkata and Delhi.

Princley India: 8 days/7 nights covering Mumbai, Vadodara, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Ranthambhor, Agra, and Delhi.

Royal India: It is basically nothing but the Princely India in the reverse direction with minor changes in the flow of activities in 7 days/6 nights.

Celestial India: 8 days/7 nights journey meandering through the country's most renowned relegious and Buddhist centres and some of the most fascinating sights and architectural creations. During the journey ypu will be discovering Gaya, a centre for Hindu pilgrims, embarking on a sunrise boat ride on the Ganges River in Varanasi, spotting tigers and other wild animals in Bandhavgarh, one of India's magnificent wildernesses, unravelling the mystery of the magnificent temples and exquisitely carved sculptures in Khajuraho and familiarising yourself with the rural lifestyle and culture on a guided Village Walk in Khajuraho, discovering the finest example of Mughal architecture in the impressive monuments of Agra, exploring the historical wonders of the ancient city of Gwalior and unravelling the beguiling layers of history in the capital city of Delhi.

Classical India: It is a Celestial India in the reverse direction with minor changes in the flow of activities in 7 days/6 nights.
