7 Ways To Make Money On The Internet

Although I’m familiar with computers, I’ve never really understood the different types of monetization on the Internet.  I knew websites had the ability to make money, but I wasn’t sure how that was accomplished.

In this article, I’ll discuss 7 ways to make money on the Internet.  In my mind, the American dream is earning a large income while being able to enjoy life with the freedom and flexibility that anyone desires.  By becoming familiar with any or all of these online monetization options, you could be one step closer to living the life of your dreams.

If you’re reading this article, you’ve probably heard of the website, eBay.com.  Ebay is an online auction site where products and services are sold.  Many people have built businesses around this popular website.  You could make money by selling things that you own that may be hiding in your basement.  Or perhaps you could attend garage sales and resell those items for a higher price than you paid.

Craigslist.com is similar to eBay without the auction aspect.  You can list items for free on Craig’s List and sell them.  The popularity of this site and regional search functions make this a great place to sell unwanted items.

There are many revenue sharing sites available like Infobarrel, Hubpages, Squidoo, Helium, and Bukisa that pay writers for articles submitted to their sites.  A published article will be surrounded in advertisements and based on the number of clicks on those ads, the author and the publishing website will share the revenue generated.

Google Adsense is one of the most popular online advertising networks on the Internet.  Website owners can house Adsense ads on their websites and receive a commission based on how many times each ad is clicked.  This is also a form of how authors that publish articles to revenue sharing sites are paid.

Affiliate marketing is simply directing online traffic to a product sold by someone else.  If that visitor purchases the product, then the affiliate receives a commission for referring the visitor.  This can be very profitable as some commissions can be more than 50% of the product price.

If you’ve built a website and possibly even created a community of readers, why not try to sell your website?  There are always buyers looking to purchase established, high-quality websites.

It’s become extremely simple to earn large profit margins by creating an information product.  Do you have expertise in a particular subject or have information that other people want to know.  It’s very inexpensive to create an eBook and sell it.  You can even create an affiliate program where other people sell your product for you.
