Would you like to make some extra money? Do you wish you had an extra source of income? Maybe you aren't working but you wish you could make money some how. If so, you should start and make money working. If you don't work, you're not going to make any money.

Want to Make Money? Get a Job.

One of the best ways to make money working is to get a job. As long as you work and don't get fired, your employer will pay you for the hours you put in. How do you get a job and where can you find one?

This depends. How old are you? Have you gone to college and do you have a degree? Do you have some sort of skill? If you are still a teenager in school, you can only make money working at a part time job. If it's the summertime, you could get a full time summer job.

As a teen looking for a job, you simply need to look where there is a job working nights and weekends and where you don't need any experience. The jobs that you qualify for aren't necessarily going to be exciting or rewarding, but they will pay you money and that is what you are looking for. If you're lucky, you might get a job that you enjoy.

First, look at the basics. Go to your local grocery store, fast food restaurants, diners, small businesses, the mall, department stores, etc. A good idea is to look at places as close to home as possible so that you don't have to travel far. If you get a low paying job that is really far away, your gas costs will eat up all you earn. If you don't drive, you might be able to walk or at least won't feel bad asking for a ride to a job that is close by.

Fill out an application to a few places. Go for all the interviews. Just because you sit through a good interview doesn’t mean you have to take the job. You can take the job you like most.

If you are not a teenager and you are no longer in school, your best bet to make money working is to get a job. If you are completely supporting yourself, you'll need to get a full time job. If you just want to add a little more money to your family, you should at least get a part time job.

All the same rules apply, unless you have a college degree and/or skills. You want to get paid for what you're worth. If you have a degree or a skill, you should get paid for it. Even many careers offer work part time. Look for what you are experienced and trained for to ensure that you make the most money for your work and that you have a job you enjoy.

If you don’t have a skill or degree and you just hate working the same old unskilled jobs, considering going back to school and getting a degree or learning a skill. This can help make you more money and make your life more fulfilling.

You don't have to be an Employee to Work and Make Money

Having a job isn't the only way to make money working. You don't have to work for someone else as their employee. If you don't like working for other people and you are hard working and innovating, you could be a perfect candidate for an entrepreneur. If you have an idea for a business, build that business!

If you are very passionate about an idea, go for it! Get the capital you need, get help if you need it, and start building your business! Now, this is going to be very exciting and a lot of work, but it might not work out. Even the seemingly best business ideas fall apart. Most businesses fail within the first 18 months. You have to be willing to accept that and know when to give up.

Just because you have given up on one idea doesn't mean you can't start another. Maybe your idea had a few flaws. Fix them and try something new. As long as you work hard at it and never give up on the business idea as a whole. If you do, entrepreneurship just isn't for you.

Also, make sure you know what it takes to run a business. If you can't effectively run your business, it will never succeed. You have to know the difference between a failing business that can't work and a failing business that is hurting because of your lack of knowledge of business.

Take the time to learn your industry before you get into it. Find an excellent location to run your business and make sure there is demand there and not too much competition. No competition is the best competition. You should take the time to do studies and surveys before you jump into anything.

For example, maybe there is a little town that has no bakery. You decide there is no competition and every town could use a bakery. You open up shop and get next to no visitors because there are so few people that live there and anyone looking for baked goods just buys from the bakery a couple miles away. You have failed because you didn't do the right research.

Many people who have their own business love it and others hate it. Make sure you know what you're getting into. Even if your business is successful, if you hate it and it is too much stress, sell it and do nothing else. You shouldn't keep a job you absolutely hate and you shouldn't keep a business you absolutely hate.

Do Work that Makes you Happy

Most of all, make sure you do something you love. If you are in the process of completely school for a better career, you're going to have to work through it until you can get the work that makes you happy, but once you're there, don't give up. Keep searching for that perfect job.

If you find out you hate the career you chose, go back to school for a different career. You only get one life to live. If you hate your job, that might mean taking a couple extra years to go back to school, live a small lifestyle, and maybe even struggle financially, but it will all be worth it when you can spend the rest of your life doing what you love!
