Make More Money Online By Developing More Income Streams

By Edited Dec 19, 2015 1 2

When working to make money online, it is a good idea to take this old business and investing adage to heart: Diversify, diversify, diversify. In other words, the more online projects you take on as an online writer, the greater your chances of increasing your income. What are some of the various income streams you can work on developing as you work toward your goal to make money online?

Well, for starters, you can write for one or more of the ad revenue sharing websites such as Infobarrel.com, which shares a generous portion of its advertising income with its writers. Of course, there are plenty of other websites you might want to write for as well. These include HubPages.com, eHow.com and Xomba.com, just to name a few.

In addition to writing for websites that share their earnings with their contributing writers, you may also want to publish some of your own work by creating niche blogs (using Wordpress, for example) and then including advertising on your blogs (such as the Google Adsense program) which enables individual blog and website owners to run Google ads for a percentage of the profits. (You may want to keep adding fresh content to your blogs in order to reap the most benefits.) You will also want to educate yourself about Search Engine Optimization, including the importance of choosing and using effective keywords.

In addition to writing for websites such as Infobarrel.com and your own blogs and websites, you can also work as a freelance writer who writes online articles for website owners seeking to outsource the content writing of their web properties (i.e., their own blogs and websites.) If the idea of working as a freelancer in order to earn some fast cash that you can then turn around and invest in purchasing your own domain names and hosting service (i.e., web properties of your own) appeals to you, you might want to look into Odesk, Elance, Textbroker and Constant-Content, as these are all companies that help to match up freelance writers with people seeking to outsource their content writing.

As you can see from reading this article, there are several different ways to make more money online by developing a nice variety of income streams. You may want to focus the bulk of your time and energy on developing only one or two of these income streams at a time, or you may want to tackle them all at once. It all depends on your personal work style and preferences. Of course, it helps a great deal if you have excellent time management skills, patience, ambition and a fantastic work ethic.

It is good to have a few writing sites. Some people stick to one writing site, and the website closes after a few years. They lose all the content, and passive income stream.

I've always loved the idea of creating multiple income streams. Thanks for the suggestions of other places to write articles.
