Make Your Own Vanilla Body Scrub
Do you enjoy the little luxuries like body scrubs? Do you find them to be too expensive? This is a wonderful, easy to make luxurious body scrub. It is simple to make and you probably already have all of the ingredients you need. Place them in a pretty jar with a nice bow for a great homemade gift idea.
Things You Will Need
Dark brown sugar
Olive oil
Vanilla extract
Step 1
In a bowl, mix 1/2 of a cup of dark brown sugar (packed) 1/4 of a cup of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. For best results use pure vanilla extract, not imitation vanilla.
Step 2
Mix all ingredients until you form a thick paste.
Step 3
Apply the vanilla body scrub to dry elbows, knees, heels, hands, feet and wherever else your skin is dry. Apply the vanilla sugar body scrub in the bathtub or shower to avoid making a mess.
Step 4
Massage the vanilla sugar body scrub into your skin. Allow it to remain on for a minute or two.
Step 5
Rinse off under the shower or in the bathtub.
Step 6
Be sure to wash your tub or shower to remove the olive oil and prevent slipping.
This wonderfully smelling, exfoliating, skin softening body scrub is just as good as the store bought body scrubs, if not better.

Great article on how to make your own vanilla body scrub.
Actually, I think I have all of the ingredients, so I may even make it today. :) Thx for the recipe and tips... :)
Does brown sugar mean the unpolished version?
I used to get plastered with a mix of glycerin and sugar as a kid by my mom. I think she also added lime to that. Am not too sure why she used to do it.
Plain old brown sugar works fine!
