Make Your Own Wine Bottle Labels

By | 1 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Wine bottle labels can add that little touch which shows you have taken care and attention in producing your home made wine. It is no longer very difficult or expensive to produce a stunning looking wine bottle label, now that we have modern multimedia computers. Even if you don't own some of the technology, there will be a public facility near you which will still allow you to complete the job.

If your target is just to get your wine bottle labels finished as quickly as possible, you can use one of the online services which allow you to pick a template design, amend it with your own text, and then have the labels shipped to you. Although this is the fastest and easiest way to get your wine labels, it does inevitably mean that you are tied down to the designs used by the site, which may not appeal to the adventurous designers amongst you! Creating your own DIY wine labels is a fun and challenging.

If you are more adventurous, you can do the whole job yourself starting from scratch. If you are artistically minded, you can sketch out the design you want using a pencil and paper. Take some time out to have a look at the work of other designers, because although you won't want to copy them entirely, they may give you some good ideas which you can bring into your own work.

Once you have a basic design worked out, you will need to get the design onto your computer. The industry standard graphics design program is Adobe Photoshop, and if you are lucky enough to have this on your computer, there really is no limit to the creativity you can show with your designs.

If you do not have Photoshop, it is quite an expensive purchase. There are free programs which can do a very similar job, although they will not have the enormous range of effects which Photoshop can provide. With wine bottle labels, you are not really looking to get too outrageous with technical effects, so a good free program should suffice. Once the design is complete, all you need is some adhesive paper for your printer, and you are ready to create your beautiful wine bottle labels.
