Different ways to make extra money while travelling
So you've decided to travel the world, I applaud you. International travel has taught me more in my adult life than 12 years of grade school education did. It's hard to get a grasp on every single thing that you will need for going abroad, especially if you will be visiting more than one country. One thing is for sure though, you will likely need to make some extra money while traveling.
Making money while traveling the world is something that most globetrotters will need to do. It's just plain expensive to travel around a lot and that are many ways that you can subsidize your expedition by working while you go. What you need to know is that whether you're going to Australia, Brazil, China or India, there are many ways to earn some cash to keep you going. Before you grab your suitcase and hit the airport try these things. Below are 5 tips to help you earn money while you travel.
How can I get paid to travel the world?
1. Start an online business
Yah I know, you've heard all the hype around online businesses and it just sounds like a scam. It's not. The truth is that there are thousands of people earning modest and extravagant incomes through their online businesses. If you start researching this well in advance of your trip you will be able to find something that suits you and have time to set up a web site. An online business is my number one choice for making money while traveling the world because it can not only free you to travel, but also help you make money while you sleep!
From buying and selling items on Ebay to writing articles for cash, there are lots of opportunities online that anybody can take advantage of. You can set up a simple drop-shipping store or maybe do some affiliate marketing. This stuff sounds complicated I know, but online business is the best way to earn a decent income while you travel. Ok, this kind of falls into the online business category. Even though the lines between blogging and online business seem to be blurring a bit, I wanted to give blogging it's own space here because it is a very unique type of business. You can start a personal blog, a travel blog, or a blog on just about anything that you (and hopefully others) are interested in. Although blogging is just writing, you will still need to learn the basics of setting up a platform and getting some traffic to your site.

3. Teach English
There are many countries where a person with a degree can be paid great money to teach English. It does not typically need to be an English degree and usually an interpreter is provided. These programs are easy to find on the internet and can provide a great opportunity to travel and sometimes have your accommodations and food taken care of by the company.
4. Work remotely
If you have a job that would allow for your to work remotely from a computer, why not try it? The worst thing that your boss is going to say will be no, and you may open the door to opportunities that you never dreamed of. Editors, writers, graphic designers and many, many other types of professionals may be able to take advantage of a remote working operation. Try presenting it to your boss. Be sure to mention the savings in electricity, coffee, space, and other office costs. Be flexible and be willing to start one or two days per week.
5. Farm work
One thing that I can promise you will find in every country on Earth is farms. People need food and farms need people. It's usually the easiest way to find quick work although it can be low-paying and hard labor. Try driving around to different places and asking about employment. Hostels are a great place to find information on work opportunities in a given area.
Almost everybody can make one of these opportunities work for them. Making money while traveling the world is not too hard if you know where to look. There's lots available in most places if you keep an open mind and you're willing to work hard!
