If you have watched any of the financial shows on TV that help people to live on a budget and pay off their debt, then you know how the experts usually go about doing it. The final thing that these experts tell our would be debt free people is that they need to make more money per month to make it work. This is not something that you needed an expert to tell you. The question is how do you make extra money to make room in your budget when you are already working 40 plus hours a week?

Making Money Writing

There is a growing group of people who are making money writing and meeting and exceeding their budget goals. Many of the ways that you can go about bringing this extra money in every month will have you working in your living room. This is great because then you have no cost associated with this stream of income. If you were to go out and get a part time job, you would have to invest in a job appropriate outfit and pay for gas to get to work every day. When you work from the comfort of your own home making money writing, you can sit in your pajamas for all your clients care about.
Online or In Print
You can choose one of two forms to get your articles published. You can write for the world of print or you can turn to the Internet. The best way to go is to be making money writing for the online world. The published content of magazines, newspapers, and books can take a long time to get approved and even longer to get paid. When you are making money writing for the Internet, the turn around times are much faster and payment is usually within 30 days or less and sometimes weekly. This can go very far when you are trying to get your budget to balance. If you find yourself needing an extra $20 a week, then all you have to do is to take on that much writing work.
Write For Yourself or Others or Upfront versus Residual Income
Once you have decided that making money writing is the way that you will earn that extra cash that you need to make ends meet, you need to decide if you want to write for others or for yourself. That is to say whether you will sell rights to your content to clients or will you keep the rights and try to earn from them yourself. There is not right answer to the decision. You will make more money if your write for yourself and stay the course. However, you will be paid faster and not have to be patient to see if your content will earn if you write for others.
