First Things First - Talk To Your Doctor

For some men, it doesn’t matter if they lose their hair, as for most of their lives they have usually had a short hair cut, so it makes no difference. However, for many others, going bald – whether fully or partially – can have a negative effect on their life.

By making an appointment with your Doctor, you can discuss the issues that you have and alleviate any worries that may be apparent. Remember, not all men may be suited to hair replacement, but a qualified Doctor will be able to provide advice on the best course of action for your hair loss.

Don’t Worry

If you are beginning to think about male hair replacement, then you will no doubt come across someone who has something negative to say about the procedure. The first thing to remember is not to worry what other people say and stay focused. Hair replacement is a common modern day procedure and although in a small amount of cases it may not be as successful as anticipated, on the whole, the procedure has a very high success rate.

It’s important to ensure that any worries you may have are eased and because of this I’ve placed several links on this site to explore that will allow you to talk to other people who have been, or are in, the same situation.

The Procedure

Although the actual male hair replacement procedure differs slightly from man to man, the basics always remain the same - if there is an area on the head that is still stimulating new hair growth, a skin graft will be taken from this area and grafted onto the bald area, in several surgical procedures.

Whilst this is the most common process, not all men have an area where hair is still growing and because of this, other techniques are available, for which information will be provided by your Doctor.

Time

The replacement of hair is a process that involves several lengthy surgical procedures. Whilst it is now a straightforward process, there are several side effects that should be noted and discussed in-depth with your Doctor, most of which can be found by checking out the links I’ve placed on this site.

Hair replacement is not something that can be fully carried out overnight. In between surgery, recovery must take place, which can prolong the process and the amount of hair that needs to be replaced is also a factor. However, always remember that regardless of how long it takes, you will have got rid of your unwanted baldness.
