Le Moulin Rouge
This is the image of the Moulin Rouge which is in Paris, France. The Moulin Rouge is the home of the can-can which has enthralled cabaret audiences for hundreds of years. The name Moulin Rouge means Red Mill, which is seen in the iconic image. It was also known, somewhat disrespectfully as ‘The First Palace of Women’. The Moulin Rouge caused public outrage once (many years ago) but is now a respectable tourist attraction and is a large part of Parisian culture. Visitors today can attend nightly shows where more than 100 dancers perform the spectacular can-can in the romantic old world setting.
