Medical Hair Restoration Prices
Ever wanted to do something about that horrible bald patch on top of your head? Don't worry, you're not the only one. Whether your a young guy whose temples are starting to show, or an old guy with thin hair on top... almost everybody feels bad about losing their hair. If you have already had that one horrible day in your life where you realised you were starting to lose it (your hair, that is), then you have probably realized that it's only going to get worse.
Today, it is not possible to regrow lost hair. You cannot reverse hair loss. Well, that's not entirely true. You can reverse it partially, by taking drugs such as finasteride or dutasteride. These drugs have a proven effect on thinning hair. If you're in the process of going bald, then these drugs can slow the hair loss down significantly. This allows thinning hairs to return to their former, thick glory! It's not a panacea, but it's better than nothing.
In order to truly 'reverse' hair loss, you're going to have to cover an area that's gone bald, somehow. The only way you can do that, is through medical hair restoration. Ayup, you're looking at a surgical procedure now! And unfortunately, these don't exactly come cheap these days. If you've got the cash and you can afford them, then a hair transplant can give you really nice results. When it comes to information regarding hair transplants, the first thing people are interested in... are the prices!
Medical Hair Restoration Prices
A hair transplant is not a cheap treatment. To begin with, the equipment that is used is very expensive. The staff that is required to perform the treatment is numerous and must be highly trained. Especially the task of having to dissect your strip of donor hair into grafts, is very labor intensive. It must be done quickly as well, otherwise the tissue will die off. For this reason, it must be done with many people at the same time. These things have a big influence on medical hair restoration prices, as I"m sure you'll understand.
The smallest hair transplants are offered for about $12,000, although I have seen some clinics gone as low as $10,000. And treatments of this size only cover up a very small area. If you have a big bald patch, then don't be surprised if you're going to have to pony up twice or three times the amount!
Most hair transplant clinics will give you satisfactory results. So even though it will cost you a rib, at least you'll know you'll get a nice head of hair for it!
