Full Review

The Medifast diet is one the most well known weight loss plans in the world today. In fact, it is probably one of the only diets which has been clinically tested by a reputable institute.

In a study done by Johns Hopkins University, Medifast was found to provide an average weight loss of 60 pounds in a group of men and women who were tested. Naturally, this means that this group of people had a lot of excess pounds to shed.

Medifast is a low calorie diet. Each day you eat 800-1000 calories in 6 meals and snacks. 5 of the meals are actually Medifast replacement meals and 1 is a meal you prepare yourself according the the diet's specifications.

The replacements are created to ensure a reasonable quantity of minerals and vitamins to ensure there won't be any nutritional deficiency despite the low calorie consumption.

Following the diet is rather simple: you get the meal products to your home and eat according to the diet. The average weight loss you can expect is 2-5 pounds each week.

In Closing

The Medifast diet is a recommended weight loss plan which a lot of people use with great success. It usually works better for people who have a lot to lose, 30 pounds or more. I don't think anyone with less than 20 pounds to lose should use it.

Of course, you can and should make sure it's for you. There are other Medifast Diet Reviews you can read. However, this is a plan worth trying out.
