People don't give it much credit, but keeping medium hair styles well maintained and in great shape can be plenty tough enough, maybe not quite as tough as super long hair is to keep, but it can still be a major pain in the butt if your hair is as thick as mine is. Getting the right style for your face shape in my opinion is a little easier if you have medium length hair, just simply because it is easier to get medium length hair to do what you want, as opposed to longer hair.

Finding the right hair style for you is going to depend on face shape and hair consistency, if your hair is really thin you are going to want to work around that, and you are going to want a style that not only frames your face nicely but one also that keeps your hair looking like it has a little more body than it really does, gives some movement and some nice color. If it is lighter it will look a little thicker, just because the contrasting scalp will not be as visible through say a head of brunette hair. If your hair is super thick and bushy, you may have issues looking like a dandy lion as it gets shorter and closer to your face, and so a good frizz controller is going to be a must so that folks can even see your face in all that mess. Longer helps too, medium hair styles on folks with bushy curly hair are going to be less so as the hair gets longer, so a little past shoulder length may be a good match for you in the end. On either end of the spectrum you will find that your stylist will help you get the kinds of product you need to help your hair look and feel it's best, so don't give up. Great medium hair styles are possible for you and getting it to look right is simply a matter of knowing who to talk to about which hair care product.
