Star Trek fans were introduced to a new group of actors when Paramount released Star Trek in 2009.

The movie follows the early lives of your favorite characters, starting with the birth of James Tiberius Kirk on board a shuttle craft.

The story line also follows Spock as a boy.

Kirk and Spock meet at the Star Trek Academy in San Fransisco. Spock is a humorless instruStar Trek SequelCredit: Star Trek Sequelctor and Kirk is a cocky cadet. It's anything but love at first sight.

Kirk befriends Dr. Leonard McCoy (Bones) and hits on Uhuru who brushes off his advances.

A new generation of Star Trek entertainment is unleashed.

The bad guys in the film are the Romulans led by the tattooed and believable villainous Nero.

The original and visibly aging Spock makes a brief appearance and meets the younger version of himself.

The action and special effects are outstanding.

The cast does a great job of taking characters that are part of our folklore and making them their own.

The Star Trek sequel is scheduled for release in May, 2913 in 3D.

The plot is a tightly kept secret.
