You need the energy to exercise despite restricting your calorific intake, however, so metabolism boosting meals are ideal.

Boost your metabolism for speedy weight loss with this recipe for apple oatmeal pancakes. It is easy to follow and the resulting meal of 4-6 pancakes (which is 1 serving) contains only 240 calories:
Blend together 1/2 a cup of dry oatmeal, 6 egg whites, 1 tablespoon of apple sauce (unsweetened), a pinch of stevia, a pinch of cinnamon powder and 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. Finely dice 1 apple and keep to one side. While preparing the ingredients, heat up a frying pan until very hot and then lower the heat to a medium temperature. Use a low-calorie cooking spray to coat the frying pan. When it is hot add some of the blended mixture to the pan, depending on the size of the pancake you want and the size of the pan. As bubbles form in the pancake distribute some of the diced apple on top and let them set into the pancake before you flip it to cook the other side.

Spicy foods are great for boosting your metabolism and chili dishes are a quick, healthy main meal. Try this recipe which can be made in half an hour:

Heat up 1 tablespoon of canola oil over a medium heat in a Dutch oven. Add 3 chopped medium-sized onions, 1 chopped carrot, 1 tablespoon of chopped (finely) jalapeño pepper, 2 crushed garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of ground cumin and chili powder to your personal taste. Stir this mixture over the heat for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the carrot and onion is soft. Next add 1 1/2 cans of chopped tomatoes (including the juices), 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Heat on high temperature for a further 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to a low setting. Stir in 1 can of red kidney beans and 1/3 cup of prepared bulgur. Simmer the chili for 15 minutes until it thickens. Garnish the dish with 1/2 cup of plain yogurt (non-fat), 1/3 cup of chopped scallions and 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro.
