Mildew Removal
Is your house or clothes infested with mildew? Mildew removal can be quiet costly if you have to call in a specialist to take the mildew off of the areas that the mildew is growing on. There are several products that you can purchase either in the store or online that will help you to remove mildew from different areas of your home and clothes, but there are also some items that you may have at home that will help you to get rid of mildew just the same. If you have a serious problem but do not have the money to call someone in to take care of that problem for you then these tips will help you remove mildew from a few surfaces and your clothing.
If the mildew problem that you are trying to remove is on the tiles in your bathroom as is common with mildew problems there are a few things you can do. One thing that you can do is purchase a cleaner from the store that helps with mold and mildew removal. This does not always work as you may have found out, but there is no need to tear out the tile and start over.
You have everything that you need in your home to help you to get rid of mildew yourself. What you want to do is purchase a bottle of bleach if you do not already have some in your laundry room or in your cleaning closet. Mix one part bleach with three parts water and scrub the mildew off of your tiles with that. This should take care of the problem that you have just as good as or even better than store bought products. If you want to try something more natural then try making a paste out of baking soda and water and scrub the tiles with the paste that you mix up. You want the paste to be about as thick as toothpaste so make sure not to use a lot of water.
If you have mildew on your clothes that have been hanging in your closet then there is a process you will need to follow in order to remove the mildew. You will first want to take the clothes and everything else out of the closet and hang them outside. You then want to dust them off and get rid of all of the mildew that is growing on them. You can then wash them in the washing machine with ¾ cup of vinegar to get rid of the mildew.
These steps will work great for mildew removal and should be tried if you are someone who is facing a serious mildew problem and do not have the money to hire a specialist. There are other things that you can do, but these are the first things that you may want to try to see if they will get rid of your problem.
