Mini Trampoline Guide
Using a mini trampoline is a very popular form of exercise. Many people are reminded of when they would bounce on the bed as a child. Wasn't that a lot of fun? You may not have known it then, but it was also a great form of exercise too.
Rebounding could be popular because it's a lot of fun or because it works very well. Whatever the reason, exercising on a mini trampoline is very easy on the joints and the workout can be as easy or intense as you want it to be. You can increase your heart rate, improve metabolism, and lose weight through gentle bouncing on a mini trampoline. As you gain more familiarity with mini trampoline exercises, you'll be able to increase your bounce, add running motions, and even small acrobatic style movements to increase your workout.
When you begin mini trampoline exercises, you'll need to become familiar with the trampoline itself. Balance is a key factor to safe exercise on a mini trampoline. If you're a beginner then just stand on the trampoline and practice maintaining your balance. Experts advise performing your mini trampoline workouts while wearing sturdy shoes but you can also exercise barefoot. Just remember to be careful so that you don't injure your feet during exercise. It won't take long for you to feel balanced on the mini trampoline. When you do, you should begin trying small movements.
A great starting point is a small bounce that doesn't lift your feet from the trampoline. You may want to begin near a wall or other support so that you can brace yourself if you if you begin to lose balance. When you are comfortable with balancing challenges, begin increasing your bounce so that your feet briefly leave the trampoline surface. Remember, we all adjust to balancing at different paces. Some people may need a few days to get used to balancing when standing on a mini trampoline and others may be able to quickly move on to larger bounces.
You may experience the same thing when you incorporate new exercises into your mini trampoline routine. You may not realize it before you begin but simply balancing on the trampoline can give your muscles a workout. If you're very out of shape, a small step like this can really help. As you improve your bouncing abilities, you will want to increase your bouncing height. You will get more of a work out with larger bounces than small bounces. When you want to add more to your mini trampoline exercise routine, you can try slow jogging. Just run in place and let yourself bounce a bit as each foot lands on the trampoline. An advanced version of this exercise would be to produce more bounce as your feet contact the trampoline.
Jumping jacks are another advanced mini trampoline exercise. Be sure you can fully balance yourself or else you risk falling and injury. Jumping jacks are performed the same way on the Mini Trampoline as you normally would except you bounce each time you land. Increasing your bounce as you gain familiarity with the exercise will increase your workout. Not to mention you'll feel like a kid bouncing on the bed again!
