More About a Crack Addict and Addiction

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Drug dependency had become a major problem in the world and one of the worst habits that someone can pick up is a crack addiction. Dependency on this drug has become a real epidemic as it is one of the toughest addictions to break once someone gets hooked on the drug. People from all different walks of life get hooked on this drug. Rich people, poor people, white people, black people, Hispanic people, Asian people, inner city people, country people, men, women, it just does not matter who someone is and where they come from.

Addicts of this drug will do whatever it takes to get the cheap high even if it means betraying their family and friends along the way. It is a sad fact but eventually the crack addict may lose all of their true friends and their family will disown them because they can not be trusted. They will steal from their parents and other family members so that they can sell things to get high. They will even pan handle, give sexual favors, rob people, forge checks, pawn any item that they can get their hands on whether it belongs to them or not, it just does not matter what they have to do. They are going to get high and no one is going to stop them! If someone who is hooked on this drug is employed it would be best if they do not have a job where they have to handle money because if they do, chances are that they will not be there very long. It will only be a matter of time before a crack addict rips off their employer and gets in some serious trouble.

Users of this drug always lose lots of weight and will stay awake for a long time before finally being completely exhausted and sleeping for many, many hours. They will also not eat for a very long time and then all of a sudden eat like they have not eaten for weeks. Mood changes, depression, sensitivity to light, lots of self confidence in themselves and irresponsibility are other signs that someone is a user of this drug. One of the key things that will really give away that someone is a user of this drug is their pupils, just look at their eyes and their pupils will be large and glassy.

Being addicted can be very dangerous physically and can give users seizures, strokes, high blood pressure, and even heart attacks. Psychological factors can also be dangerous such as depression and serious thoughts of suicide. If someone wants to get off of their addiction, there is help out there. Enrolling into a drug rehab center would be the best thing for any drug user to do for themselves and their family.
