As a part of my beauty regimen, I wanted to have the most long lasting lipstick that I could find, I felt that it would save me money if I didn't have to keep applying it and I wanted it to be a quality brand that would go on smooth and leave my lips feeling moist. I also didn't want to spend a lot of money so finding one that was affordable and in my budget was a goal also.
The Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color SPF 12 was the first lipstick that I tried. It went on smoothly and it was available in great colors that are heavily pigmented. The SPF 12 will protect my lips when I am outdoors and I liked the idea of that. I also liked that it went on lightly and had no heavy feel to it after being applied.
The Jouer Hydrating Lipstick was another that I liked, it offeredd moisturizing as well as color that stayed on and stayed true. The color never settled into the lines of my lips leaving them with a fresh quality look. Putting it on felt almost as if I had but on a chapstick, it instantly began to moisturize my lips. One of the best things that I like about this lipstick other than its ability to stay on was that there was no smell. Having lipstick that smells like chemicals is a real let down for me and this was absolutely scent free.
Another of the most long lasting lipstick brands that I tried was the Benefit Full Finish Lipstick, I liked how the look was natural when I applied it. I also liked that it was very affordable and wasn't going to break my wallet to purchase it. It wasn't thick and cakey, the coverage was very smooth. This lipstick also had no scent and it felt my lips feeling as though I had applied chapstick to them.
NYC New York Color Cosmetics Smooch Proof 16 Hour Lip Stain was also one of my favorites. I liked the way that it was so affordable and that I could choose several colors in one shopping trip without having to feel any financial pain. This lipstick smelled of cherry or grape depending on the color that I chose and it also tasted that way. It went on easily and never smudged.
Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipstick was also one that I liked, it was easy to cover without feeling sticky or heavy. One of the things that really impressed me was that when I applied this lipstick and went to lunch, the lipstick was still the same afterwards, it didn't come off on my glass or my eating utensils and it looked as good after lunch as it did before. With over 40 shades available, it's almost impossible not to find the shade that is right for you.
Moreover, I find that Matte lipsticks are the best for this and here is my list of top ten matte lipsticks for 2013.
