Moving blankets are a must for anyone who is planning on moving and taking their furniture with them. Choosing the right moving blanket is important and I will list some of the ones that are available.

Felt Moving Blankets are lightweight moving blankets and are ideal for smaller furniture. They are also great for protecting against dust and dirt. They don't provide as much protection as thicker blankets but they are useful if you use them the right way. You can use these after your move for covering things in your storage area such as your attic.

Moving Blanket (premium) are what almost everyone uses to cover their furniture. The have polyester outer fabric and because their woven are very durable and dependable. They are also easy to maintain as you can simple wash them without having to worry about the lining or fabric. The are filled between the outer fabrics and this padding provides extra protection for furniture.

Cotton Moving Blankets are thick and heavy. They are ideal for extra protection and not surprisingly they are used by many people to soundproof rooms. They are very durable and are made with a heavy duty cotton that is able to withstand abuse.

Premium Quilted Moving Blankets are high quality. They are woven, quilted and made in the USA. These provide great protection for furniture and their fluffiness adds a level of padding that you can feel confident in with regards to padding your furniture. Quilted moving blankets also cost more than the standard variety but you do get what you pay for.

You can use each of these moving blankets designs to wrap your furniture with. Some will provide more protection than others but maybe the extra protection is not necessary. Try to determine what would be best for a specific piece of furniture and then use the appropriate moving blanket.
