I've been doing a lot of research over the last couple of years about alternative sources of income. You see, I've never been a big fan of a 9 to 5 to tell you the truth. If you're anything like me, a J-O-B is worst case scenario.
Through my research, I've found many different potential sources of alternative income. One of my current favorites is SBI!. SBI! allows you to build a real web business as opposed to just building a site or a blog. I signed up not too long ago and I'm currently building my very own web business.
Of course, if you're anything like me, you're not satisfied with working on one single project and you're always on the lookout for new income opportunities. For that reason, in this article I'll cover a bunch of alternative income opportunities I've come across over the years.
First and foremost, I have to briefly mention InfoBarrel(which is the website you're on right now). This is an interesting potential source of alternative income. Basically, you can make money by writing articles on here. So if you already love writing, why not try to make a little extra cash with it?
Next, I want to briefly discuss paid surveys. I'm not a big fan. I've tried them in the past and did not find a lot of success with it. As I wrote that last sentence, I felt like good old Uncle Moe who will try to dissuade you from trying something new because it didn't work for me. For that reason, I want to encourage you to try paid surveys for yourself if it's something that already interests you because you never know, it might work out for you even though it didn't work out for me.
What other alternative income sources can I talk about here? I know! Credit card arbitrage. Again, I'm not a big fan. It seems very risky to me. Google it for more information if you're interested.
For the remainder of this article, I'm going to be focusing on alternative sources of income I am personally interested in and I hope you'll find at least 1 idea you could run with and turn into a nice income stream.
I want to talk about freelancing now. The author of iwillteachyoutoberich.com offers an awesome free course about how to make an extra $1000 a month. He recommends freelancing and explains that everyone has a skill that can turn into a nice monthly chunk of change. For me, that skill was driving or courier services to be more specific. Only problem is I don't have a car. Darn. That puts a wrench in my plans. Of course, there are so many other freelancing opportunities. There's pretty much an infinite amount of freelancing ideas up for grabs. Just use your imagination and see what you come up with.
Honestly, I'm personally just looking for a really easy source of income to create to start off with.
I'm a college student so I basically have ZERO income right now so I'm sure you can appreciate the fact that I'd welcome any kind of money at this stage.
For that reason, I want to leave it up to you guys to tell me what you have found to be the best sources of alternative income for yourselves in the comments section. Please leave a comment with your story. Tell me and my readers what has worked for you and hopefully we can get a nice discussion going here.
