Natural Cure For Heartburn
Have you been searching for a natural cure for heartburn?
There isn't anything worse than having a feeling that the top of your chest and
your throat are burning, not to mention that it is a very uncomfortable
experience, and if it happens to you often, it can be difficult to live with.
You don't have to have heartburn all the time though, you can cure your
heartburn in a fast, natural way.
The best ways to cure your heartburn aren't on the shelves at the drugstore,
but online, and if you look around you will find a natural cure for heartburn
that will make you feel so much better. Try a couple of these tips and find out
which method works well for you.
1. Drink plenty of water
Your body thrives on water and it needs a lot of water to be
able to function properly. If you aren't drinking enough water, you will mess
up the pH in your stomach and this can cause it to get upset. It isn't just
enough to drink the normal eight glasses a day, in order to keep your heartburn
from coming back, you have to drink three liters of water a day, if not more.
2. Try some Baking Soda
A great natural cure for heartburn is baking soda, which is
very cheap and might be in your fridge already. Baking soda will keep the pH
levels at a normal level in your stomach, it is very easily found at your local
grocery store, and if you put it in your fridge, it won't just help with
heartburn, but keep your fridge smelling good too.
3. Get a Wedge Pillow
Keeping your head elevated is a way to deter acid reflux
from forming and is a very natural cure for heartburn that most people don't
think of. If you are lying down on your bed at night, the acid from your
stomach will be able to come through the sphincter muscle of your esophagus and
this is what causes your throat to burn.
If you use a wedge pillow, it has a 8 inch slope on it, so when you lie down at
night, you are at such an incline that the acid from your stomach won't come up
your throat.
If you aren't able to locate a wedge pillow on the internet, then with a little
elbow grease you can just fashion your pillows up so that your head is inclined
and your throat is safe from stomach acid.
4. Munch on Some Almonds
If you're still wondering how to cure heartburn, this last
natural cure for heartburn works very well although I don't know why, try
consuming raw almonds. This is one of
the many food items that are a part of the diet for GERD (gastroesophageal
reflux disease).
If these methods just don't work for you, you can find cures for heartburn in
the form of medication and other remedies at home that you can try, so keep on
looking for heartburn cures!
