By Edited Oct 27, 2013 0 0

If a person is bald they can spend literally thousands of dollars on expensive drugs and therapies and me no better off than when they started. Why? Because the big pharmaceutical companies don't care about how much hair you have they only care about big profits. In studies done on the hair growth drugs the FDA has certified for hair growth the results are too exciting. Minoxidil provides some hair growth in men about 50% of the time. So one out of two men don't see any growth while the others see a little bit only. The other drug, Finasteride, has better results of about 70% but pregnant women can't even touch the pill because of the possibilities for birth defects.

I think it's time to see what mother nature provides in the way of natural hair restoration. These are all natural remedies that have been around for years and some for centuries.

  • Saw Palmetto Extract- The extract from this plant has been used for years in Europe to treat baldness. Originally it was utilized to treat male prostrate problems by lower DHT levels in the body. Interestingly enough, that is the same method that Finasteride uses to grow hair and treat male urinary tract problems.
  • Nettle Root-this is another plant that been found to treat many health ailments. The nettle root, also known as the sticky nettle, has also been found beneficial for hair growth and male prostrate problems.
  • Aromatherapy-By utilizing certain essential oils and massaging into the skin aroma therapists claim to have good success. A standard mixture is lavender and bay essential oils in a base of almond or sesame oil.
  • Jojoba and Aloe Vera-the Native Americans in the Southwest have used a mixture of these two natural occurring plants to treat baldness for centuries.
  • Cold water fish-Fish found in the northern latitudes contain high levels of Vitamin A, Iron, Protein, and Essential Fatty Acids. These are all necessary for health skin, nails, and hair.

As more and more people are losing faith in the big drug companies they are looking for alternative medicines that will work as well as expensive drugs for less price. These are five natural hair restoration treatments that deserve further study by you.
