Natural Jet Lag Remedies

If you are a regular business traveller or a pilot travelling across time zones quite frequently, you might have experienced jet lag at least once. Jet lag occurs when one person' s normal sleeping schedule is disturbed. The body's attempt to adapt with the new biological clock puts it under stress and the symptoms of that are experienced as jet lag. Many people don't take it seriously and consider it as a sleeping disorder. Unless treated properly, jet lag can seriously affect your life. Here are a few natural remedies to cure jet lag.

Jet lag symptoms

The symptoms of jet lag include Irritation, decrease in strength, anxiety, headache, irritability, nausea, sweating, confusion. Some people may even feel irritation in their stomach as well.

Some Natural Jet Lag Remedies

1. Drink plenty of water while travelling to remain hydrated. Make sure you avoid coffee and alcohol before travelling. Have a good night's sleep before starting your journey.

2. Drink a cup of green tea during the flight. Green tea helps you to control stress and anxiety.

3. Expose yourelf to light while travelling. This helps to reduce melatonin production which is the cause for jet lag.

4.If your visit is for a couple of days , Try to live in your home time zone. This has worked for many regular travellers.

5.Remove your shoes while sitting in the plane. Don't sit continuosly at one place for more than two hours. Have a walk around the plane.

5. Epsom salt bath, Valerian tea, rosemary oil are some proven natural remedies for jet lag.
