Hair remedies

It is really amazing how some of the same herbs we use for herbal health remedies can be used as natural remedies for hair. These herbs can be a huge benefit to your health as well as to your hair by replacing chemicals that don't benefit the body. There are many rinses you can use for your hair to promote a healthy head of hair. Most of them work to give you a healthy scalp which in turn helps your hair.

Conditioning your hair is not a dilemma. In fact, it's very easy to make your own rinse as a natural remedy. By using the essential oil of herbs like Rosemary and Lavender, you can have a healthy rinse that will leave your hair chemical free. This will promote healthier growth. Rosemary will give your hair a wonderful shine. To make your own blend use 2 cups of both apple cider vinegar and distilled water. Just put 10-12 drops of essential Lavender or Rosemary oil. You can find both of these at your local health food store.

You can even dye or highlight your hair using natural remedies. It will not be the same as when you use chemicals and it can even take several times to get the color you want. Most of the herbs suggested will do more to enhance your natural color.

Chamomile tends to bring out dark highlights in your hair. Calendula, also known as Marigold, is a natural yellow dye. It will bring out gold and yellow highlights. If you have red hair, you can use Cherry bark or Hibiscus. If you have dark hair, you can use Lavender or Elder bark. For brown hair you can use Oak bark or Burdock root.

Blondes should use Ginger or Goldenrod Powder. To make these herbs into dye, place the flowers, roots or leaves in a tea ball. You can boil it in water for 15-30 minutes, depending on how dark a color you want. Let the dye cool and use as a rinse.

Hair loss can be a huge problem, but there are natural remedies for hair that will promote growth. Sage is one of those herbs. Making a rinse using apple cider vinegar and distilled water for your hair can help promote the growth you desire.

Another suggestion is to add Aloe Vera to your shampoos and conditioner. Making the scalp healthy can promote your hair growth and Aloe Vera has natural healing properties.

The essential oil of Nettle can also be used as an additive to shampoos and conditioners. Just add a couple drops to your shampoo or conditioner. These are simple ways to encourage healthiness on the scalp.

Most people have heard of the popular Tea Tree oil as a natural remedy for dandruff. You can add this to your shampoo as well. You only need a few drops. Rosemary can also ward off dandruff. You can even use Rosemary tea for this purpose. Keep the tea in your hair for a few minutes before you rinse.

Using natural methods of treating our hair can encourage a healthier head of hair or may even cure loss of it. Natural remedies for hair may take a little extra effort but will be well worth the investment.
