New Balance 2001 - Retro Running Shoes

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Do you remember those running shoes that your Dad use to wear in the 80's? They were about as plain as they could possibly be. You didn't have to "pump" them up and they didn't have air pockets placed in the sole. Somehow, though, they just worked. Well, if you're looking for something along these lines, look no further than New Balance 2001 running shoes. They beauties are a real throwback to a simpler time. In this article, we'll outline a few features that included in this Heritage style runner from New Balance.

First off though, I think it's important to know where New Balance is coming from on this one. You see, this company is really unlike any other in the shoe industry. They manufacture all their products right here in the good old U.S of A. This is good for a couple of reasons. First of all, they don't rely on the exploitation of cheap overseas labor to make their shoes. Their shoes are made by Americans, for Americans. The quality of their products is also a lot better because of this fact. This is exemplified perfectly in the New Balance 2001.

As I said, this is a part of New Balance's Heritage line. And while it looks retro and classic on the outside, the inside is loaded with modern technological goodness. One feature that really stands out in this shoe is the N-ERGY system. This makes the shoe stable and extremely durable. You'll also find New Balance's patented ABZORB SBS in both the forefoot and the heel of the NB 2001 mens shoe. This is basically a shock absorbing action that helps to soften the impact of each stride while running. The last bit of technology found on these shoes is the C-CAP mid sole cushion. While you may like the look of your Father's old shoes, chances are they weren't that comfortable. The C-CAP ensures that your feet are well cushioned when you're wearing this shoe.

All in all, I think the New Balance 2001's are a great set of shoes. They're comfortable, durable and have a sweet look to them. The one beef that I have with New Balance regarding these shoes is the color selection. Unfortunately, there are only two colors available if you go with this model. They are gray and very gray...
