Kitchen door handles and knobs have really come a long way in the past few years. This used to be something that you just went to the hardware store and you had about 12 different choices. This is important because it's going to relate to a lot of the stainless steel appliances that you have but it's going to ensure that you still get pieces that are very dramatic. In this case, you might just go for a mercury glass knob. This has a vintage effect to it. It can even have a sculpted flower design. We are also seeing knobs that look like a dimensional rose. They have a lot of similarities to what we are seeing in the jewelry world as well. This is going to be one of the more ornate and expensive versions that you can buy but if you walk into a home and the kitchen is already done you might want to add a little bit of personality. Spending a few hundred dollars on these pieces can really help you to get your own personal stamp on a kitchen.

Another thing that you really want to pay attention to when going with kitchen door handles is the style of your cabinet and the style of your home. For instance if you have a classic kitchen then you might wander in more of a vintage design direction. This is going to use a glass knob. You may be able to find these pieces at salvage stores. However, finding an entire matching set for your whole kitchen can be a little bit difficult especially on your upper cabinets and then you can use a coordinating metal drawer pull on your drawers. You can find these glass knobs with slight tints to them such as green. This can even have a beach inspired feel.

The other really great thing about doorknobs is that it allows you to incorporate a theme. This is definitely more sophisticated and fun than the basic wallpaper border which at times can go unnoticed and when it is noticed it can seem quite dated or cheesy. In this case, you can just go with a sculpted knob. This is also going to be one of the more expensive options that you can choose. It will probably use more of a coral kind of motif. You could use this if you want it to be sophisticated. However, it can also just be painted to actually look like coral for more of a whimsical sense of design.
