Many people suffer from the terrible inconvenience known as night sweats. Decades ago, tuberculosis patients often woke in the middle of the night from hot flashes. It has also been observed that night time sweating is often a tell-tale sign for cancer, particularly lymphoma. Sometimes they can even be a side-effect to medication. And sometimes night sweats in men occur for similar reasons that menopause night sweats occur, with men experiencing hormonal changes.
Getting night sweats are a huge inconvenience and a major annoyance. They strike often at the worst possible time. Luckily they do not last long and before long your normal temperature will be restored. It is important to consider the most effective way to treat your problem and to be able to discern if you should seek medical attention based on the intensity of them. If they are manageable it is important to consider factors such as the clothing you wear and keeping your house a little cooler.
