The Nikon Coolpix L22 is a small and simple and easy to use digital camera from Nikon and is aimed at those that wan to just shoot with a simple point and shoot camera that offers full automatic exposure other settings to allow either the novice photographer or advanced photographer and easy method to make great looking photographs without a lot of muss and fuss.

But that doesn't mean that the Nikon Coolpix L22, a digital camera priced under $100 from most online vendors is a bad camera whatsover. Year after year, Nikon has improved on this digital camera adding more and more features over the years from previously discontinued cameras such as the Nikon Coolpix L16, Nikon Coolpix L18, Nikon Coolpix and now the current under hundered dollar digital camera from Nikon - the Nikon Coolpix L22.

Standard features on theNikon Coolpix L22 include a fast zoom lens the zooms wide to a 28mm setting an for those time when you need to shoot closer to the action, the zoom lens extends from the camera body out to 100mm at the longest zoom setting on the Nikon Coolpix L22.

With all modern digital cameras, the new Nikon coolpix comes standard with a crisp and bright LCD display that's capable of providing a clean and sharp display for both image composition and playback. You can easily compose images with ease using the bright 3.0 inch LCD display on the back of the Nikon Coolpix L22.

Megapixels are also important, and the Nikon Coolpix L22 ships standard with 12 megapixels which is the same megapixel count from some much higher end digital cameras available up the Nikon lineup. 12 megapixels allows you to easily create great images from such a small and compact camera. Poster sized prints are quite possible with the Nikon Coolpix L22 digital camera.

Advanced and Amateur photographers alike will appreciate the Auto Exposure mode that allows for full auto exposure, IS0, shutter speed and aperture settings the camera decides on using advanced matrix metering. This leaves you the photographer to create great images - just point and shoot - and let the Nikon Coolpix L22 worry about the settings needed to make great photos each and every time you use this tiny portable digital camera.

With a street price of under $100, more than enough resolution for great looking prints, regardless of size and zoom lens that's flexible enough for all but the most advanced shooters, the Nikon Coolpix L22 is a bargain and hard to beat in the entry level camera category today.
