TheNikon Coolpix S8000 is one of the higher end digital cameras currently avialable from Nikon in their Nikon Coolpix lineup. With standard features such as 14.2 megapixels, HD video recording and a fast and bright 10x zoom lens it's almost as if you have three different digital cameras tucked into your pocket - all in one small and compact size.

Poster Sized Prints

One of the first features and one that's the most discussed and compared are the megapixel count on the Nikon Coolpix S8000. And with a 14.2 megapixel digital sensor featured in the Nikon S8000 big and beatiful prints of up to 20 inches by 30 inches are quite and easily possible from this tiny digital camera that easily slips into your pocket or purse. In fact, this small coolpix camera from Nikon offers more resolution than higher end DSLR cameras from both Nikon and other camera makers. Physical size of the digital camera has no bearing on the quality or size of the prints that can be produced.

The nikon S8000 also features four way image stabiliztion which negates the need for a tripod and allows you to hand hold your camera when shooting in less than optimal shooting situations such as indoors or other low light scenes.
