Non Surgical Hair Transplant

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

There is an incredibly wide range of products available on the market today in order to prevent, combat or reverse hair loss. Not all products live up to their hype, ofcourse. But there definitely are some of them out there that have a proven effectiveness. Don't expect any miracles yet, because there exists no definitive cure for hair loss just yet. Of all the products advertised on the Internet, radio and television, how will a consumer ever be able to tell which one works best for him or her? Not all products are equally effective for everybody, making the whole situation even more complex.

There are vitamin supplements, topicals, drugs, rugs and plugs available on the market today. Vitamin supplements don't do anything, so you can forget about those. Just eat a healthy diet and that's pretty much all you can do to hang onto your hair diet-wise. The topicals and the drugs do work in most people. But only as long as you are using them. If you stop the usage of drugs and topicals, then your results will vanish in the following months. The only permanent solution to hair loss are hair transplants. And these are a type of surgery that can actually be pretty invasive. But as of late, hair transplants are becoming less invasive because of better technology.

Non Surgical Hair Transplant

Many people are speaking of the non surgical hair transplant these days. You must keep in mind that there really is no such thing as a 'non surgical' hair transplant. The treatment is by definition surgical because it involves surgery performed by a highly trained professional. However, the days of the very invasive strip hair transplant are numbered. Over the past few years, people have been getting strip excisions done on the backs of their heads in order to provide their own donor hair. These strip wounds go from one ear to the next, often leaving a stretched and raised scar in the long term.

But the new way of doing hair transplants, is by extracting the follicles individually. This is why some people consider this treatment to be 'non surgical'. It's still surgery ofcourse, but subjectively it's one heck of a lot less painful than having a strip taken from the back of your head. The tiny little wounds that are made with every individual hair follicle extraction, leave a tiny little scar that you'll never notice. Having many tiny little scars is so much better than having one really big one. A big scar will cause you to have feelings of numbness and itches. Many tiny scars spread out over a large area just don't have that!
