Incorporating NutriBlasts, which are juice drinks made by using the NutriBullet, into your everyday diet is a very effective aid in losing weight.  However, the foods you use will ultimately determine the effectiveness of the NutriBullet for weight loss.  By using whole fruits, vegetables, and a limited amount of nuts or seeds, this product can help one reach their weight loss goals.  On the other hand, using canned fruits and vegetables can really hinder ones chances of losing weight.

The advantages of using the NutriBullet to make healthy juice drinks are well documented; however, using the wrong foods can really make this product ineffective.  The NutriBullet is great because you extract all of the vitamins and nutrients from fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts to make delicious juice drinks and smoothies.  However, the result is only as good as the foods used to make it.

Canned Fruits and Vegetables
I would strongly recommend that canned fruits and vegetables are not used when making NutriBlasts.  Canned fruits contain a lot of added sugar, which makes them less healthy as whole fruits.  In most cases, the fruit sits inside a can of sugary syrup.  Compare that with whole fruits, where there are no added sugars.  Using canned fruit in the NutriBullet (affiliate link) is basically just making a sugary fruit smoothie, which may still seem healthy, but really is not.

Vegetables for Weight Loss
As I mentioned earlier, it's important to use whole fruits and vegetables in the NutriBullet, especially if your primary goal is to lose weight.  In terms of actual vegetables to use, I would recommend spinach, kale, or lettuce.  They are all rich in essential vitamins and nutrients, plus they don't have too strong of a taste, so they don't take over the entire NutriBlast.  Personally, I add the vegetables for the health benefits, but don't necessarily want to taste them in the smoothie.  Also, leafy greens are the most important vegetables to include in your diet.  They're very nutrient-dense foods and will help aid in weight loss.

As for fruits, I think it's important to use the ones you really enjoy.  It's going to be hard to continuously use the NutriBullet if you're constantly using foods you don't like.  Having pure carrot juice in the morning is probably very good for you, but there's no way I could stick to that.  If you use fruits you already like, then it's more likely that you'll stick to using the NutriBullet.  The fruits I use most often are blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, bananas, oranges, peaches, and watermelon.  Berries are high in antioxidants, so I usually try to use at least one type of them in my NutriBlasts.  Bananas also make them thick and creamy, like a shake.  Those are really great for a healthy dessert!

It has been argued that consuming fruits and vegetables in juice form is more beneficial than eating them as a whole food.  This is because some of the vitamins and nutrients can be lost in the digestion process, whereas a juice drink goes straight into the blood stream.  I don't know that this has actually been proven, but there are nutrition professionals who believe this is true.  What I would say is, it's easier to include more fruits and vegetables in your diet when you're consuming them in juice form.  A smoothie can include a couple cups of spinach, a banana, an orange, and a cup of blueberries.  For some people, it would be hard to eat all of those fruits for a snack or meal.  However, using them in a juice drink is very easy.  I drink NutriBlasts and eat whole fruits, but for those who may find it difficult to eat enough fruit, using them in the NutriBullet is a great way to fit them all into your diet.

Adding a juice drink to your daily diet is a great way to lose weight.  I like having one for breakfast, because it helps me feel energized and focused throughout the day.  In my opinion, the NutriBullet is the best product at making juice drinks with minimal work and cleanup.  However, the drinks are only as good as the foods used to make them.  Using a can of oranges with 30 grams of added sugar is not going to help one lose weight.  Instead, take the time to peal an actual orange and use that in the NutriBullet.  It can be a great product to help one lose weight, but the foods used with it will determine the actual results.
