Grrr! I Can't Get This Jar Open

How many times have you struggled to open the lid of a jar? Too many for me to remember. But although I understand that lids must be vacuum sealed to keep food preserved, it still irks me when I can't twist the lid off something easily. Even worse and more bothersome is when I'm in a time crunch, trying to put together a meal, and I have to spend more than a few minutes trying to open a glass container. It can be so frustrating, not to mention time consuming.

I’ve tried numerous methods in the past to get tight lids off. I’ve done things such as put the container under very hot water to try to loosen the grip, I've also used a spoon or a butter knife wedged under the lid, or tapped the jar gently on a counter top, and I've also tried using rubber grippers. Sometimes these methods work and sometimes they don't. It’s especially frustrating when I’m in the middle of preparing a meal and I need to add and item to a dish and can’t get the top off. Some lids are so tight that almost nothing will loosen them, well almost nothing . . .

Open with Ease

I have finally found something that opens tightly closed jar lids every time. The Hamilton Beach Open Ease Automatic Jar Opener, like the name says, opens jars with ease. All I have to do is place the unit on the lid of the container and press the "Open Jar" button. The unit does the rest. It's pretty fun to watch as the "outer arms" of the unit close to grip the jar snugly while the "inner arms" clamp the lid tightly and rotate to remove the top. The lid pops out, and all that's left to do is press the "Release Lid" button and there you have it.

This is one of my favorite kitchen tools. It works on any size jars with zero effort on my part. In addition to the ease, I also like that it fits easily in any drawer. The unit runs on two double AA batteries and comes with a one-year warranty. It is sleek and small so it fits in any kitchen drawer or cabinet. It is also very easy to use, just lock it on the lid and press a button. The unit does all the rest.

If you have a tough time opening jars, don't get frustrated, get this kitchen tool! So, forget the hot water, butter knife, spoon, or anything else you've tried. This is the last tool you'll ever need to open up a tight jar.
