The Orlando International Airport (MCO) is located in the city of Orlando in Orange County, Florida, approximately 6.8 miles from Orlando's central business district. MCO is the largest airport in the state of Florida and was in 2008 ranked as the 22nd busiest airport in the world by the Airports Council International, having served a total of 35,622,252 passengers that year.

MCO has four passenger terminals with a total of 97 gates. Parking options in clued both short-and long-term parking, and the rates are fairly cheap compared to the rates of other major international airports.

Picking Up and Dropping Off

For easy passenger pick up, the so-called Cell Phone Lot is the most convenient option. The Cell Phone lot I free, requiring you to simply park at the Cell Phone Lot, wait for your passenger to call and then hurry over to the curbside baggage claim area to pick them up. If you want to drop off passengers, you can do so for free as well by pulling up to the curbside check-in section on the Departures Level on either side of the Main Terminal.

Satellite Parking

Satellite Parking lots are further away from the terminals than are the Terminal Parking Garages, but a free airport shuttle service takes passengers from the satellite lots to the main terminals, so the Satellite lots are still convenient and certainly cheaper. The rates are $4 for the first 3 hours, after which the $10 per day fee applies. You can park at the Satellite Parking lots for up to 120 days.

Terminal Garage Parking

The terminal parking garages are located within a short walking distance of the passenger terminals and are a great option for MCO airport parking. It's $1 for every 20 minutes, with a maximum limit of $17 per day. You can park for up to 60 at these lots, and there's a grace period of 40 minutes.

Off-Site Parking

If you want to save a bit of money or simply can't find adequate long-term parking at the MCO, you can check out some of the nearby, off-site lots, which can have rates as low as $4.50. Most private, off-site parking facilities offer a free shuttle ride to the airport for their passengers.
