Outdoor Rug Ideal For A Muddy Foyer

By | 1 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

When it rains it means means muddy shoes and muddy floors. This can be a headache especially if you just washed your beautiful tile floor. Most children are forgetful, so while you are out at work they are coming home with muddy shoes and often forgetting to take them off at the door. You can lay down the law but you can make things easier for them buy placing an outdoor rug in the foyer. The outdoor rug can withstand as much rain and mud as you throw at it. As long as your kids walk into the house and take off their shoes on the outdoor rug that is in the foyer you will not have any problems.

Outdoor rugs were designed to take such abuse because after they get muddied you simply wash them down. And I don't mean professional washing like delicate indoor rugs. Just hose them down and let them dry outside. They dry quicker than indoor rugs because quality outdoor rugs are made of polypropylene a synthetic material that is durable and also dries a lot faster. You can even take additional steps such as adding small little round outdoor rugs in entrance ways. This way by the time your kids walk on the rug in the foyer most of the mud would have been collect at the door.

This is one of the ways of utilizing outdoors inside the home. Although polypropylene outdoor rugs were designed for the outdoors they can be quite useful indoors. And placing them in areas of the house that have high foot traffic is one great use for them.

I love having a polypropylene rug in the foyer and I also have them in my kitchen and laundry room. These are great indoors because you don't have to worry about spilling stuff on them in the kitchen and they are great in the laundry room for standing on. Check out www.OutdoorRugsOnly.com for a great selection with over 1000 polypropylene rugs and they also have free shipping.
