P90X Workout Schedule - 90 Days to a Beach Body!!

By Edited Feb 25, 2014 0 0

So I've decided that I want to start doing the P90X workout schedule, because everyone and their friends keep telling me that if I really want to get back in shape, P90X is the workout I need. I guess it's supposed to be the best and I believe my friends because a few of them have actually tried doing many different types of programs to get fit and they say that Tony workout is the toughest, but the only that's really paid off for them.

So I've decided before I go and get this, I want to know if its better to workout in home or just get a gym membership. So lets take a look at what I've found...

Does the P90X Workout Schedule really work?

I am a really skeptical person when it comes to buying stuff online or on TV, and the only reason I was considering getting the P90X was because my friends told me about it. I've seen so many of these phony infomercials that I really can't believe there's 1000 different types of workout to get fit. So going back to the question of does it really work, I really do think it does. I have seen my friends after just a few weeks of doing it and it is SICK how much results that they've got from just following the P90X workout schedule. They did tell me that I better be ambitious if I want to do this, because it is not that easy.

How long is it going to take to get the results?

This is simple the "90" stands for 90 days of killer body workouts you've never done before. It consist of 12 weeks for six days a week for just one hour. Does that sound BAD or what? It makes sense why you can actually see result after such short time. I will break down the P90X workout schedule into the different parts below.

Do you want to know more about P90X?

The Classic Workout Schedule - Beginners

How my friends explained it to me is like this: Depending on how confident I feel of my physical conditioning I can pick which ever workout routine I want out of the three. This is the first one.

Weeks 1 - 2 - 3

  • Day 1 – Chest and Back, plus Ab Ripper X
  • Day 2 – Plyometrics
  • Day 3 – Shoulders and Arms, Ab Ripper X
  • Day 4 – Yoga X
  • Day 5 – Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X
  • Day 6 – Kenpo X
  • Day 7 – Rest or X Stretch

They actually told me they started with the beginners routine because they wanted to be able to follow the programs to the tee and see what were the differences as they moved up the P90X workout schedule. If you do this part for the first three weeks, it would be easier to follow the next week that followed because it is supposed to be a recovery week. One thing to remember is to do the meal plan as is, no cheating.

Week 4 P90X Workout Plan:

  • Yoga X
  • Core Synergistics
  • Kenpo X
  • X Stretch
  • Core Synergistics
  • Yoga X
  • Rest or X Stretch

If you're just getting started from ground 0 this is the ideal DVD to start with.

I am ready for the next P90x Workout Schedule!!

Lean - The next three weeks of a "Boot Camp Workout"

It's all about the Cardio instead of the resistance. If your main focus is to shave some pounds of fat first and then build some hardcore muscle, you could start with the lean P90X workout schedule. Lets see what its all about:

Weeks 5 - 6 - 7

  • Chest, Shoulders and Triceps, Ab Ripper X
  • Plyometrics
  • Back and Biceps, Ab Ripper X
  • Yoga X
  • Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X
  • Kenpo X
  • Rest or X Stretch

So what one of my friends that's already doing the P90X workout schedule said that it takes a little longer to complete the entire exercise (about 1.5 hours), and that the yoga X is the longest of all.

One thing you will notice on the first day is that you combine core/cardiovascular workouts so that you can maximize fat burning and core strengthening. Once you're complete with these three weeks its time to lay back for one more recovery week on:

Week 8

  • Yoga X
  • Core Synergistics
  • Kenpo X
  • X Stretch
  • Core Synergistics
  • Yoga X
  • Rest or X Stretch

The way that it looks the P90X workout schedule is designed to go from your lean exercise to the classic exercises and then to the next one we'll look at now...

The P90X "Doubles" Workout Schedule

Weeks 9 - 11

  • Chest and Back, Ab Ripper X
  • Plyometrics
  • Shoulders and Arms, Ab Ripper X
  • Yoga X
  • Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X
  • Kenpo X
  • Rest or X Stretch

They switch on Week 10 - 12 to the following:

  • Chest, Shoulders and Triceps, Ab Ripper X
  • Plyometrics
  • Back and Biceps, Ab Ripper X
  • Yoga X
  • Legs and Back, Ab Ripper X
  • Kenpo X
  • Rest or X Stretch

Out of the entire P90X workout schedule this is the ultimate week. In this last part you will need so much energy, determination, time and discipline, because they take a lot longer (about 2.5 hours) to complete for some of the days.

The way it works is like this: Morning you wake up and do your cardio exercise and then around noon you will begin your abdominal workout + resistance workouts. You can see that it really gets more intense in this phase 3 of the workout program.

Now by the time you get to the "doubles" phase of the DVD's you should be in better shape from where you started at. I've looked at the results my friends have had over the 90 days of doing the P90X workout schedule and it really makes me jealous and I have no doubt this is the "workout at home" program that I want to get. It would definitely save me money compared to a gym workout plan.

I really believe now that you can actually get ripped in 90 days if you set your mind to completing the P90X workout schedule. Its not easy that's for sure. If you think this is going to be easy, you're wrong, that is something my buddy has told me. All I know is that if my friends can do it why can't I? or anyone that want to shed a few pounds and get fit. I trust Tony workout will work since I've seen the proof. And like a lot of people say the proof is in the pudding.

The only question left to answer is When will I start?

I've already began the workout and it really rocks!! I am exited and I am ready for the next step Lean baby.
