Painting living room ideas help you change the look of your space without spending a lot of money. You can change the way your trim looks as well as get a fresh new look on the walls. Paint can also help you turn garage sale finds into cherished treasures; and save you a lot of money on furniture. This allows you to create an entirely new look in your room without spending a lot of money.

Most living rooms look pretty much the same. They'll have windows, ceilings and furniture. This is why choosing a unique color scheme is so important. It allows you to create a unique look in your room without spending a lot of money. Here are a few ideas to help you create a space where you actually want to spend time.

Go bold. Remember that it's just paint. You can always change your mind and repaint. This is especially important if you are dealing with neutral furniture. Use your wall color to really make a statement. This can also make up for your lack of architectural detail and allows your wall color to really pop and tell your guests who you are.

Go for a natural look. This is very easy to live with and will appeal to people from both genders. You can go with more of a neutral sage green or really modern lime green. You can also choose to bring in a cheerful yellow. This will also bring the outdoors in and at the same time allow you to focus on your view. This is a very calm and relaxing space that works well with any existing wood furniture or beige fabrics that are already in your room.

Paint colors that will help you create a theme in your space. Sometimes theme rooms can end up looking more like restaurants or gift shops than actual living rooms. This doesn't have to be the case. Instead, you can just use subtle color to create the look that you want. Instead of using cliché accessories go with the colors from the actual time period or location.

Paint living room ideas can also include patterns. Many parlors had formal wallpaper. This really isn't very conducive to your contemporary lifestyle just because of how busy it looks and how difficult it is to take down. Paint is also a lot easier to put up than wallpaper.

Let wood stain be the star of the show. This will give the room a more formal feel, while still allowing you to use a lot of neutrals in your space. Different wood tones will bring in different feelings and can work with different themes. For instance, traditionally mahogany furniture is very formal, but also brings warmth to a room. If you're into more of a contemporary or more modern style go with a chocolate brown or black stain that will really pop and contrast against bright white walls. You could also use really bright and bold colors and furniture, which really comes in handy if you can't paint your apartment.
