Painting Toenails Perfectly
Like any art form, coloring your toenail follows some basic procedure that can create a beautiful finish to your handiwork. The basic procedure to be followed to paint your toenails perfectly is mentioned below:
1 Before undertaking nail painting, the nails have to be cleaned and trimmed. Soaking in warm water and manicuring can leave them healthier and re-hydrated. Trim the nails and file them using a nail trimmer and an emery board. Clean using a nail color remover can take away oil residue on nails, if any.
2 Apply a thin layer of base coat that can protect the nails from the stains of dark colors that can smear the toenails.
3 On the base coat completely drying up, the next step is the application of the nail color of your choice. Rolling the bottle in between your palm can remove the air bubbles that can otherwise dirty your handiwork while coloring the toenails.
4 The nail colors have to be painted in three strokes after taking enough quantity required for each nail. Creating space between the toes with a separator can prevent the paint from getting smudged. When painting toenails, the strokes must start from the base pushing the cuticle back and then move in a single shift upward. You can either start from the corners of the toenails and move towards the center, or begin painting them from the center moving to the outer edges.
5 Care should be taken to ensure that the coat of paint is thin, because the greater the coat, the greater the chances for the nail to get smudged or chipped.
6 After the initial coat has completely dried up, give it another layer in a similar manner as the initial sheet of nail color.
7 Add a topcoat clear nail polish to give your nails a shimmer on the drying up of the second coat of nail color.
If you are interested in coloring your nails to offset your attire, you can go for simple strokes of paint or complex designs to match your outfit. The colors, texture and the pattern selected by you must complement the attire and environment. Good luck on getting pretty toes!
