A Perfect Summer Vacation

So summer is finally here and you are considering taking a family vacation. You want it to be special and want to treat your family to the very best without having to spend a fortune. In these tough economy times, who has money to splurge?

Worry no more; San Antonio, TX is the top tourist destination in Texas. San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the United States and the second largest in Texas. Located in the United States South West and the South Central part of Texas and with its rich cultural history and small town feel, it is the perfect place to spend your summer vacation.  You will enjoy visiting the world famous River Walk and take a river tour in a barge.  How romantic can that be? You'll be admiring the beautiful old buildings and  architecture while you listen to some of the live music (if you are lucky-Mariachi Music or even Jazz) and the delicious smells of the many Restaurants throughout the tour.  Or, you might decide to take a stroll down the River Walk and enjoy visiting all the quaint shops along the river bank. I'm certain you will work up and appetite and will have a hard time deciding which Restaurant to choose.Whichever you choose, you will want to return for more. Seeping a frozen Margarita or a Margarita on the Rocks, while you decide what to order will make you feel in paradise.

You will certainly want to visit "The Alamo" and take a photograph to show your friends. This Historic site is a "MUST SEE". And the entrance is free and only a few steps from the River Walk.  If you still have the energy, you might want to visit the Hemisfair Park-featuring the "Tower of the Americas" a favorite for visitors since it was built and inaugurated for the 1968's World Fair. The tower offers an observation Deck, Restaurant, Café and a 4D Theater Ride.
Following day, you might want to visit San Antonio's Six Flags "Fiesta Texas". This massive theme park offers, among its many attractions, over 100 rides and a water park, shows, parades and concerts. These are but a few of the many places to visit during your stay...

Other places of interest include:  the plaza museum and Ripley's believe it or not, "La Villita" (Spanish for small town.) La Villita is one of the original neighborhoods of Old San Antonio. Today, it is converted in Artisan Studios, Restaurants and Shops. "Cascade Caverns" located just outside San Antonio offers its visitors a view beneath the surface of the Texas Hill Country. The Cavern stays 60 degrees year round. Great place to keep cool during the hot Texas Summer days.

San Antonio is a party town and the local people are the friendliest in the world. Once you visit this town, you will continue coming back time and time again. So much to do and so much to see.  When you visit San Antonio, you will certainly enjoy true southern hospitality. Have a wonderful Summer Vacation and you come back, you hear!
